International meeting of anti-trafficking national coordinators of the states parties to the European Convention on the fight against trafficking in human beings

      The head of the Permanent Secretariat of the National Committee for combating trafficking in human beings, Ecaterina Berejan participated in 21-22 June 2016, in Strasbourg at the international meeting of anti-trafficking national coordinators of the states parties to the European Convention on the fight against trafficking in human beings.

      During the meeting were discussed issues concerning anti-trafficking policy coordination mechanisms and actions taken at the national and local levels, patterns of cooperation between agencies on the identification, assistance and protection of victims of THB, establishing and modifying National Referral Mechanisms, operation of mobile teams to identify the victims of THB, level and type of involvement of civil society actors in the process of identifying the victims of THB, transnational collaboration in terms of assistance and protection of the victims of THB, investigation and prosecution of traffickers.
