Round table "Psychosocial issues of victims and potential victims of trafficking in human beings"

      On 20 October 2016, at the initiative of the Permanent secretariat and in cooperation with the Mission of the Organization for security and cooperation in Europe in the Republic of Moldova was held a round table entitled "Psychosocial aspects of victims and potential victims of trafficking in human beings".

      The event was held at the Free International University of Moldova and aimed students from the Faculty of psychology,  educational sciences and social work in the context of anti-trafficking week.

      Round table discussions were focused on the issue of THB and the solutions in the context of the socio-cultural heritage of the Republic of Moldova, with an emphasis on youth involvement in outreach activities and volunteer institutions and organizations who have the competence responsible on prevention and combating THB.

      Present at the event students had the opportunity to analyze issues related to the profile of the victim, trafficker, TFU shapes, risks of THB for people and t what could be actions to help to prevent this scourge.

      At the end of the event, the Permanent secretariat has made a donation of specialized books and materials in the field of prevention of trafficking in human beings for university library.
